Welcome to Track Adventures.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Track Adventures website and the content, tools and services we make available through it.

By accessing or using Track Adventures, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

1. About Track Adventures

Track Adventures is an independent website providing wooden railway layouts, set information, build ideas, guides, tools and related content.

Track Adventures is not owned by, operated by, sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with BRIO, Ravensburger, LEGO or other manufacturers whose products may be featured or referenced on the website, unless expressly stated otherwise.

Product names, trademarks and other intellectual property belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

2. Using Track Adventures

You may use Track Adventures for personal and non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

• use the website for unlawful purposes;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers, databases or user accounts;
• deliberately interfere with the operation or security of the website;
• use automated systems to excessively scrape, download or extract content or data from Track Adventures without permission;
• reproduce or commercially exploit substantial parts of the Track Adventures database without permission;
• attempt to circumvent membership restrictions, usage limits or other access controls;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with Track Adventures; or
• use Track Adventures in a way that could harm Track Adventures, its users or third parties.

We may restrict or suspend access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

3. Track Layouts and Build Information

Track Adventures provides wooden railway layouts, component information, build plans, recommendations and other information intended to help users get more enjoyment and use from their wooden railway collections.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure this information is accurate and useful.

However, wooden railway products can vary because of manufacturing tolerances, age, wear, environmental conditions, different production versions and differences between manufacturers.

As a result, we cannot guarantee that every layout will fit perfectly in every situation.

Some layouts may require the natural movement or tolerance available within wooden railway track connections.

You are responsible for deciding whether a layout is suitable for the products, space and circumstances in which you intend to build it.

4. Generated Layouts

Track Adventures may provide tools that automatically generate wooden railway layouts based on selected sets, components, available space, preferences or other information.

Generated layouts may be produced using automated software, algorithms or artificial intelligence.

Unless a layout is specifically identified as having been physically tested by Track Adventures, generated layouts should be considered suggestions.

A generated layout may:

• require small adjustments during construction;
• rely on normal tolerances within wooden railway connections;
• differ slightly from its digital representation;
• contain errors or unexpected combinations; or
• be impractical in particular real-world circumstances.

We will aim to improve the accuracy and quality of generated layouts over time but cannot guarantee that every generated layout will work perfectly.

Where Track Adventures identifies a layout as tested, verified, approved, Track Adventures Tested, or using similar wording, this means that we have physically tested that particular layout under the conditions available to us. It does not guarantee identical results with every user’s individual track pieces.

5. Safety and Parental Supervision

Track Adventures provides ideas relating to toys and family activities.

Parents, guardians and other responsible adults remain responsible for determining whether a layout, activity, product or suggestion is appropriate for a particular child.

Always follow the safety instructions, age recommendations and usage guidance supplied by the original manufacturer.

Some railway sets, accessories, construction materials or other products may contain small parts or present other hazards for younger children.

Where Track Adventures suggests combining wooden railway products with other construction toys, household objects or third-party products, users are responsible for ensuring that the resulting activity is safe and age appropriate.

Track Adventures does not replace manufacturer safety instructions or appropriate adult supervision.

6. Product Information and Compatibility

We aim to provide useful information about wooden railway sets, track components, accessories and compatible products.

Product specifications can change over time and manufacturers may release revised versions of products under the same or similar names.

We therefore cannot guarantee that all product information, dimensions, component lists or compatibility information will always be complete or error-free.

References to compatibility mean that products are believed to be capable of being used together. They do not imply approval, endorsement or certification by the original manufacturers unless expressly stated.

7. User Accounts

Track Adventures may allow users to create accounts.

If you create an account, you are responsible for:

• providing accurate information;
• keeping your login credentials secure;
• activities carried out through your account; and
• notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may introduce features allowing you to save your railway collection, favourite layouts, generated layouts, preferences or other information.

Account functionality may change as Track Adventures develops.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are used fraudulently, unlawfully or in serious or repeated breach of these Terms.

8. Memberships and Paid Features

Track Adventures may offer paid memberships, subscriptions or other premium features.

The price, billing frequency, included features and any applicable usage limits will be displayed before you purchase a paid service.

Additional terms relating to payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds may be presented when paid services become available.

We may change the features included within membership plans from time to time. Where a material change affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide appropriate notice where required.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory consumer rights you may have.

9. User-Submitted Content

Track Adventures may introduce features allowing users to submit content such as:

• layout ideas;
• photographs;
• ratings;
• reviews;
• comments;
• build results;
• challenges; or
• other community contributions.

You retain ownership of content you create.

By submitting content for publication on Track Adventures, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote and improve Track Adventures.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the content.

You must not submit content that:

• infringes another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
• contains unlawful, abusive or harmful material;
• contains personal information about children without appropriate permission;
• deliberately misleads other users;
• contains malicious software or code; or
• otherwise violates these Terms.

We may moderate, refuse or remove user-submitted content where we consider it necessary.

10. Photographs and Content Involving Children

Because Track Adventures relates to children’s toys, particular care should be taken when submitting photographs or other content involving children.

If community submissions are introduced, users must only submit images of children where they have the appropriate authority and permission to do so.

We may impose additional restrictions on content involving children or decide not to permit such content at all.

Additional community and safeguarding guidelines may apply.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original Track Adventures content — including original photographs, videos, written content, graphics, layout designs, databases, software, branding and other materials — belongs to Track Adventures or is used with appropriate permission.

You may use Track Adventures content for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may build and enjoy layouts displayed or generated by Track Adventures for personal use.

However, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, systematically extract or commercially exploit Track Adventures content, databases, software or substantial collections of layouts without prior permission.

Sharing links to Track Adventures pages is encouraged.

12. Third-Party Trademarks

Track Adventures discusses and displays products made by third-party manufacturers.

Names including BRIO, Ravensburger, LEGO and other product or company names may be trademarks belonging to their respective owners.

Our use of these names is for identification, commentary, information and compatibility purposes.

Unless expressly stated, reference to a company, brand or product does not mean that the company sponsors, endorses or is affiliated with Track Adventures.

13. Affiliate Links and Commercial Relationships

Some Track Adventures pages may contain affiliate links.

If you follow an affiliate link and make a purchase, Track Adventures may receive a commission from the retailer or provider at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not guarantee a positive recommendation.

We aim to distinguish advertising, sponsorships and other commercial relationships where required.

Track Adventures may also work directly with manufacturers, retailers or other commercial partners.

Where content has been sponsored or products have been provided as part of a commercial relationship, we will provide appropriate disclosure.

14. External Websites

Track Adventures may link to websites operated by manufacturers, retailers, video platforms, social networks and other third parties.

We do not control these websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices or services.

Visiting an external website is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

15. Availability of Track Adventures

We aim to keep Track Adventures available and functioning reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security, updates or technical reasons.

Features may also be added, changed or removed as Track Adventures develops.

16. No Guarantee of Future Features

We may discuss, preview or test planned Track Adventures features.

Roadmaps, prototypes, demonstrations and descriptions of future functionality are provided for information only.

They do not constitute a guarantee that a particular feature will be released or that it will be released within a particular timeframe.

17. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

To the extent permitted by law, Track Adventures is not responsible for losses resulting from:

• reliance on inaccurate or incomplete layout or product information;
• differences between digital layouts and physical track pieces;
• damage caused by inappropriate construction or use of products;
• third-party products or services;
• temporary website outages;
• loss of user-generated or saved information; or
• use of Track Adventures contrary to manufacturer instructions or these Terms.

Track Adventures is primarily intended for personal and family use and we do not accept responsibility for business losses arising from use of the website.

18. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

By using Track Adventures, you acknowledge that personal information will be handled in accordance with that policy and applicable data protection law.

19. Changes to These Terms

Track Adventures will continue to evolve and we may update these Terms to reflect new features, services, technologies, commercial arrangements or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date will be changed accordingly.

Where appropriate, registered users may also be notified of significant changes.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the laws that apply where you live.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
